Midwest Security

Founded in 1974, Midwest Security Insurance Companies services the managed care benefits of small- to medium-sized companies in Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, and Illinois. With corporate headquarters in Onalaska, Wisconsin, Midwest Security has offices in Green Bay, Wisconsin; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Chicago, Illinois; Rockford, Illinois; Indiana, Indianapolis; and Detroit, Michigan to service any regional needs.

Midwest Security is financially stable and continues to grow because of their excellent service, overall expertise, and careful planning. Midwest Security is rated "excellent" by A.M. Best, accredited by the American Health Care Commission, and a member of the National Association of Independent Insurers.

Midwest Security offers several insurance plans to its clients. Insurance plans vary according to state. For example, there are three plans offered in Ohio. These three plans are The Split Funded Plan, which combines benefits from traditional insurance plans with benefits of self-funded plans; the Classic One, a 90%/70% PPO; and a self-funded option.

However, in Indiana, the choices not only include the Split Funded Plan, the Classic One, and the self-funded option, there are also seven other possibilities, including Encore Health Network, HealthLink Open Access, and Preferred Plan, Inc.

Midwest Security offers three dental plans. Group Dental offers three choices in plans. Voluntary Dental, where employees pay 100% of their premiums, covers preventative services, basic services, major services, and orthodontic services. The final choice is Paid Dental of Wisconsin, which offers four types of services and is also a type of voluntary plan.

Midwest Security prides itself in its involvement with the community. It sponsors an annual 5K Family Run/Walk which benefits the American Cancer Society, an annual golf marathon for the benefit of the La Crosse Area Boys and Girls Club, and a holiday season Adopt-a-Family Program. Midwest Security is also involved in other activities which benefit their community at large.
